BROOKHAVEN — District 1 City Councilwoman Linley Jones will host the latest in her series “Conversation with a Councilwoman” on Monday, Oct. 4, from 6 to 7 p.m.

As traffic safety is a top concern throughout Brookhaven, the conversation will focus on various traffic calming solutions and the process to follow if a neighborhood is seeking to opt in for this strategy

To accommodate responsible social distancing during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the meeting will be outdoors at the Blackburn Park pavilion at 3493 Ashford Dunwoody Road in Brookhaven, weather permitting. In the event of rain, the event will be rescheduled.

“Traffic calming devices are to address neighborhood speeding include traffic humps and other options, but it’s not a one-size-fits-all solution,” Jones said.  “I welcome everyone who wants to learn more about traffic calming options by the City of Brookhaven to join us at Blackburn Park on Oct. 4.”
