Just one day after a man tried to carry a gun into the DeKalb County Courthouse, the building was evacuated due to a bomb threat. An investigation is underway following an emergency evacuation Thursday morning of the DeKalb County courthouse in downtown Decatur. Out of an abundance of caution, the DeKalb Sheriff’s Office ordered all occupants to be evacuated and implemented an immediate security sweep of the judicial complex and some nearby businesses, including the MARTA station. DULUTH -- The Gwinnett County Police Department has secured an arrest warrant for 43-year-old Joshua Stone, of Atlanta, after police say he called in a fake bomb threat Jan. 20. Investigators say they believe Stone called 911 and told dispatchers someone was threatening to blow up the Smoothie King at 6575 Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth. It was a harrowing few hours Saturday afternoon for workers at the Amazon Warehouse on Skipper Road when a bomb threat forced the business to evacuate. Bibb County Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies responded to the Amazon Warehouse after a bomb threat was called into the facility at about 12:33 p.m. The caller said there was a bomb in the building and that everyone needed to get out.
