A suspicious item in the roadway has closed a major stretch of Interstate 75 southbound in Cobb County.
Update: 6:03 p.m.- All lanes of I-75 between Windy Hill and Delk Road have reopened after officials cleared the scene of a suspicious object.
Traffic is moving again, but expect residual delays as congestion clears.
What It Means For You: The highway between Delk Road and Windy Hill Road was shut down for over an hour. You need to find another route if you’re traveling through this area.
What’s Happening: Cobb Police and Cobb County Fire & Emergency Services are investigating what has been reported as a pipe bomb on the roadway.
