MACON — The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in a possible kidnapping of a murder suspect who was due in court today.
According to a statement released by the sheriff’s office on Monday, 23-year-old Christian Demond Williams was reported missing after he was allegedly abducted from the front porch of his home in the 500 block of Hall Street.
The sheriff’s office was notified of the incident by the District Attorneys Office, which had received information about the possible kidnapping.
According to the sheriff’s office, Williams was charged with murder in 2021 and was scheduled to appear in court on March 6.
Home surveillance footage obtained by the sheriff’s office shows Williams arriving at his home and being approached by two individuals wearing all black clothing at around 11:40 p.m. on Sunday.
The suspects allegedly dragged Williams out of the yard, but the footage does not show how they left with him.
Williams is described as a black male, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, and weighing approximately 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing all dark clothing and a red ball cap, the statement said.
The sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information on the possible kidnapping or Williams’ whereabouts to call them at 478-751-7500 or contact the Macon Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-877-68CRIME. The investigation is ongoing.
