It was a harrowing few hours Saturday afternoon for workers at the Amazon Warehouse on Skipper Road when a bomb threat forced the business to evacuate.

Bibb County Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies responded to the Amazon Warehouse after a bomb threat was called into the facility at about 12:33 p.m. The caller said there was a bomb in the building and that everyone needed to get out.

The building was cleared of all employees.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Disposal Unit and K-9’s checked the building and determined that it was safe and that there were no devices in the building.

Everyone was allowed to re-enter the building at about 4:24 p.m.

Anyone with information in reference to this incident is urged to contact the Bibb Sheriff’s Office at 478-751 -7500, or Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
