The Gist: A collaborative effort by Bibb County investigators, the Gang Unit, and the Special Investigations Unit resulted in the arrest of four suspects tied to a recent shooting at the Baymont Inn & Suites in Macon. Among them are three, including a juvenile, facing aggravated assault charges and another, a convicted felon, found with a firearm.

What Happened?: The shooting at the Baymont Inn & Suites on Riverside Drive occurred on July 11, leaving a 62-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man injured but stable.

Following an extensive investigation, Bibb County authorities identified and arrested four individuals on July 24 at about 3:30 p.m.

The arrested include David Vincent Pitts, aged 20, Rontravious Desmond Williams, 24, a 15-year-old minor, and Travion Lorenzo Veal, 28. During a warranted search of the Baymont Inn & Suites, multiple firearms were recovered, one of which was previously reported stolen.
