A Christmas Eve fire destroyed one home and damaged two others in Grayson, leaving seven people without a place to stay.
Just the Facts:
- Firefighters responded at noon to a house fire on Swan Ridge Circle. Callers reported flames spreading from the roof of one house to nearby homes.
- Crews found one home fully engulfed and flames reaching houses on both sides. Firefighters contained the blaze using hoses and ladder trucks.
- The main home was declared a total loss. The two neighboring houses sustained roof and exterior damage. Another home behind the fire sustained heat damage to its siding.
- Six adults and one child were displaced. The American Red Cross is helping the families.
- No injuries were reported.

The Details: The fire started while the occupants were inside. They reported hearing a noise from the roof and evacuated after seeing flames.
Fire crews worked to stop the fire from spreading further, and Georgia Power secured electricity to the affected homes.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
