79-year-old Georgia woman dies in house fire

MACON — A 79-year-old woman is dead today after a fire destroyed her home just before 1 a.m.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office and Macon-Bibb County Fire Department responded to a house fire on Meadowbrook Drive early Saturday morning.

Firefighters found 79-year-old Lillian Hill dead inside of the home.

The next of kin has been notified by the Coroner’s Office and an autopsy will be performed.
