MACON — A 17-year-old Macon teenager has died after being the victim of a shooting Friday night.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office was notified that a victim in the Carlisle Avenue aggravated assault incident on July 15 died from his injuries.
According to the Bibb County Coroner’s Office, 17-year-old Tyreek Demontez Young, of Macon, was pronounced dead at 4 p.m. Sunday.
An 18-year-old male who was taken to Atrium with a gunshot wound to the lower leg, who was with the 17-year-old, is listed in stable condition.

No one else was injured during the shooting.
The Sheriff’s Office has not released any information on a suspect in the shooting.
