The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a pedestrian traffic incident that occurred at the 4700 block of Houston Road. The incident was called into the Macon-Bibb 911 Center at 8:43 p.m.
According to authorities, 47-year-old Tawanda Faye Willis, of Macon, was struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross Houston Road, from the Magnolia Court Motel, crossing the street, and heading towards the Jumbo Gas Station.
The vehicle was traveling southbound on Houston Road when the collision occurred.
Willis was pronounced dead on the scene by the Bibb County Coroner’s Office.
There are currently no charges.
