A teenage boy was fatally shot on Tuesday evening in Norcross, according to the Gwinnett County Police Department.

A teenage boy was fatally shot on Tuesday evening in Norcross, according to the Gwinnett County Police Department.

Officers were dispatched to the scene on Windward Lane at about 5:40 p.m.

Upon arrival, they found the victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound in the street near his home. The victim was rushed to a local hospital but later died from his injuries.

Police are investigating the incident and following leads. The motive for the shooting remains unclear.
