One dead after shooting in Norcross lounge parking lot

NORCROSS -- The Gwinnett Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred in the parking lot of 4771 Britt Rd.   Shortly after 2:50 am, an off-duty officer working security at a karaoke restaurant heard shots being fired nearby. The off-duty officer drove through the parking lot of the shopping center, and located one man on the ground, dead, in the parking lot outside of 11 Lounge. Two more men were located with gunshot wounds and were transported to a local hospital. They are being treated for their injuries. Gwinnett County fire investigators are trying to determine who is responsible for starting two fires at an apartment complex during the early morning hours of Sunday, June 2. According to fire officials, a fire was in the breezeway and in an area of pine straw. The incident occurred at 1705 Club Parkway in unincorporated Norcross. NORCROSS -- Fire Investigators are working to determine the cause of a fire that claimed the life of a Gwinnett County woman on the 2100 block of Sarah Court in Norcross. A 16-year-old Norcross resident has been arrested and charged with felony murder and aggravated assault stemming from a 2019 homicide. Leslie Garcia-Juarez, 16, of Norcross, was arrested on charges stemming from the slaying of 19-year-old Osiel Montano, of Norcross, which occurred in December of 2019. Firefighters responded at 6:31 p.m. Saturday to a report from Norcross Police of a fire at the Knights Inn Hotel, at 5122 Brook Hollow Parkway in Norcross. NORCROSS -- Three cars were burned at a Gwinnett County auto shop and firefighters suspect arson. The fire occurred early Friday morning.
