The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an assault incident that was reported to have occurred at the intersection of Houston Avenue and Heard Avenue at Tuesday.
Deputies responded to the intersection regarding a person shot. Upon arrival deputies found 35-year-old Terrance Deshun Chapman with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, Chapman was walking in the area when he was shot. Chapman was taken to the Atrium Navicent Health, where he was pronounced dead at 10:39 p.m.
No one else was injured during this incident. There is no information on the suspect currently, according to the sheriff’s office.
