SAVANNAH — A 23-year-old woman died after being struck by a car in Savannah early Saturday morning.
The Savannah Police Department is investigating the crash that occurred at about 3:30 a.m. According to police, 23-year-old Amber Wilson was walking in the center eastbound lane of the Forest River Bridge on Georgia Highway 204. At the same time, a 34-year-old driving an Acura TL, was traveling in the center eastbound lane as well.
Police say the driver noticed Wilson at the last moment and was unable to avoid impact.
Wilson was transported to the hospital where she died from serious injuries.
