Arrest Made in Shooting of Gwinnett Investigator

The Gist: The suspect who allegedly shot a Gwinnett County District Attorney’s investigator near Auburn Road has been identified and arrested, according to local law enforcement.

What Happened?: Detectives identified Tyler Dewayne Moore, aged 27 from Auburn, as the suspect who was driving a 2019 Jeep Cherokee, the silver SUV tied to the shooting incident on Friday evening.

His residence on Auburn Valley Way was visited by detectives Sunday evening where they located and impounded his vehicle.

Early Monday morning, officers took Moore into custody in front of the Gwinnett County Jail. He’s been charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of certain crimes, and criminal damage to oroperty (2nd degree).

Moore is currently being held at the Gwinnett County Jail.
