Police Search for Silver SUV After a Gwinnett Investigator Was Shot in His Car

The Gist: A Gwinnett County District Attorney’s investigator was shot by another motorist in an incident that occurred near the intersection of Auburn Road and Old Fountain Road.

The investigator managed to seek help at a nearby convenience store and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Police are now searching for the suspect who was driving a silver SUV.

What Happened?: The shooting took place shortly after 6 p.m. Friday when the investigator was traveling on Auburn Road. He was shot by a male driver in a silver SUV with rear passenger side damage.

The suspect fled the scene, heading towards Dacula Road after crossing the Auburn Road intersection. The injured investigator was able to call for assistance after pulling into a nearby convenience store.
