20-year-old man wounded in Macon shooting

MACON — A 20-year-old man is in stable condition after being shot in the foot on Thursday evening.

The shooting happened just after 6:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of Bartlett Street, according to the Bibb Sheriff’s Office.

The victim, whose name has not been released, was walking in the area when shots were fired. He was the only person injured.

Authorities say they are still investigating the incident and have not provided information on the suspect. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact the Bibb Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500 or Macon Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
