Police: Road rage leads to stabbing at Collection at Forsyth

A road rage incident at a popular Forsyth County shopping center led to a stabbing Friday evening, law enforcement officers say.

Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office deputies were on-scene of a stabbing incident that occurred in the Collection at Forsyth at about 6:30 p.m. Friday evening.

According to the Sheriff’s office, traffic congestion inside the Collections at Forsyth spurred a road rage incident. It started as a verbal altercation; however, it turned physical when the suspect allegedly stabbed the victim multiple times.

The victim was transported to a local hospital. The other party involved in the altercation is currently in custody. Officers say there is no further threat to the public.

On Saturday afternoon, authorities identified 19-year-old Christopher Hamill of Alpharetta, as the suspect. Hamill was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with Other Weapon and Aggravated Battery. He is being held at the Forsyth County Jail on no bond. The victim is in critical condition at North Fulton Hospital.
