MACON — A fatal traffic collision occurred late Tuesday night on Houston Road near Hawkinsville Road, resulting in the death of 32-year-old Terry Lynn Crump of Macon.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the incident took place just after 11:30 p.m. when a southbound Nissan Sentra, driven by a 29-year-old Macon man, struck Crump, who was standing in the roadway. Crump was pronounced dead at the scene by Coroner Leon Jones.
The driver of the vehicle was treated on-site and released. No other injuries were reported during the incident.
Authorities are still investigating the details surrounding the collision, and the information provided is preliminary and subject to change as the investigation progresses.
