The annual Atlanta Chili Cook Off is coming back to Brook Run Park in Dunwoody on November 22, and this year brings the biggest competition yet.
What’s Happening: More than 40 teams will compete for $5,000 in cash and prizes at the event, which runs from noon to 4 p.m. Past champions from across Georgia will face off against new challengers.
- The competition includes amateur cooks, professional restaurants, and community groups like St. Barnabas Anglican Church and Phoenix Senior Living.
- Young Chefs Academy of Sandy Springs students will also compete.
What’s Important: Tickets include unlimited chili samples and a tasting spoon. Kids 12 and under get in free. People who attend can vote for the People’s Choice Award.
Who’s Competing: The restaurant division features past winner HOBNOB Tavern Dunwoody defending their title against 57th Fighter Group and Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar. Champions from the Atlanta Realtors Chili Cook Off and Downtown Madison Georgia State Chili Cookoff will also compete.
