A strong thunderstorm was pushing toward Moultrie Friday afternoon, bringing gusty winds and small hail to parts of Colquitt County.
What’s Happening: Doppler radar placed the storm 7 miles north of Pavo and 8 miles southeast of Moultrie at 3:34 p.m., moving north at 10 mph. It is producing wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea-size hail.
What’s Important: The main risks are falling tree limbs and objects being blown around by wind. Minor hail damage to plants and vegetation is also possible.

Affected communities include Moultrie, Norman Park, Doerun, Riverside, Schley, Berlin, Funston, Pineboro, Autreyville, Spence Airport, South Moultrie, Sigsbee, Moultrie Municipal Airport, Crosland, New Elm, and Murphy.
