On August 18, 2021, 43-year-old Joseph Thomas Zanes was reported missing by his sister and mother. They last saw him at the BP gas station located at 901 Buford Highway on August 14, 2021.
He is currently homeless and stays in his blue van near the BP. He was last seen by a BP employee on August 15, 2021, however, his van is still there.
According to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, Zanes is described as 5’6″ tall, approximately 160 pounds with brown eyes, brown hair and a beard. His sister describes him as stand-offish or socially awkward.
