🍀 What We Know: Americans will spend at least $7 billion celebrating Irish heritage this March 17, according to WalletHub’s analysis of 200 cities across the country. The personal finance website compared cities using 15 metrics including number of Irish pubs, hotel prices, and weather forecasts.

🏆 The Rankings: Savannah’s strong showing places it ahead of major celebration hotspots like Chicago (6th) and New York (7th). Boston predictably topped the rankings, while Reno, Nevada surprisingly secured the second position. Other Georgia cities didn’t crack the top 20, which included Columbia, South Carolina in the final spot.

💰 Cheapest Beer: Your wallet might thank you for celebrating in the Midwest. Milwaukee offers the nation’s cheapest average beer prices – 1.5 times less expensive than Anchorage, Alaska, where your pint will cost you the most green.

🚔 DUI Stats: If you’re heading out to celebrate, plan your transportation carefully. New York reports one of the lowest DUI-related fatality rates nationwide, while Salem, Oregon has the highest – a staggering 32.1 times difference between the two cities.

🍀 Remember The Golden Rule: When joining Savannah’s festivities, respect local businesses and residents who make the celebration possible.
