The early days of Johns Creek began in the nineteenth century with trading posts located in Cherokee Indian territory. Throughout the century, many families came to sell crops and developed a stronger community. Technology Park Beginnings

In 1970, graduates from the Georgia Institute of Technology founded a large business park known as “Technology Park”. In 1981, they brought 1,700 acres of land along McGinnis Ferry Road, which is when the area began to be known as “Johns Creek.” Johns Creek officially became incorporated as a city in 2006.
