Gwinnett County will hold its annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Nov. 11 to honor those who served in the military.
Due to expected rain, the ceremony will take place indoors at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center in Lawrenceville, with a live broadcast available on the County’s Facebook page.
The event will open with a Veterans March, recognizing veterans for their service. This year’s keynote speaker, Veda Brooks, a United States Army and Army National Guard veteran, serves as the Women and Minority Veterans Coordinator for the Georgia Department of Veteran Services.
Brooks’ military career spans more than a decade, including a deployment during Desert Shield/Desert Storm, where she coordinated critical medical support. She has also held leadership roles with the Georgia Department of Veteran Services, where she earned multiple honors for her work with veterans.
All Gwinnett residents are invited to honor the contributions of those who served in the armed forces. The event will also be televised on TV Gwinnett and available for on-demand viewing at TVGwinnett.com.
