The race will start at the former Cartersville Primary School, located at 315 Etowah Drive, at 7 a.m. Proceeds will support Advocates for Children programs that provide safety, comfort, and hope to youth and families across 11 counties.

Advocates for Children provides services to children and families who have been the victims of abuse and neglect. They also offer multiple layers of personal care through an array of programs to reduce the incidence of child abuse.

Registration is open now at advochild.org/half-marathon-5k. The entry fee for the half marathon is $95 before May 11 and $100 afterward. The 5K is $35 before May 11 and $40 after.

All funds raised will stay local, helping children and families in the communities Advocates for Children serves.
