A 16-year-old girl missing from Clayton County was found in Columbia County, and deputies say an Augusta woman is to blame.
What’s Happening: Deputies arrested 41-year-old Monica Daughtery at the Comfort Inn and Suites on Jimmy Dyess Parkway on October 20.
Authorities say the teen was missing since August and was being trafficked for sex.
What’s Important: Daughtery faces three counts of trafficking a person for sexual servitude, as well as charges for driving with a suspended license and no proof of insurance. She’s being held at the Columbia County Jail.
