Georgia Ambulance driver suspected of DUI after fatal crash

A patient is dead and an ambulance driver has been arrested after a deadly crash Friday night in Fairburn.

The Fairburn Police responded to an overturned ambulance on W. Campbellton St. just after 7 p.m.

According to local media reports, there was a non-emergency patient inside the ambulance who was not restrained. He died during the crash.

The Georgia State Patrol has arrested the driver of the ambulance, who is being charged with vehicular homicide and DUI.
