A 37-year-old man was shot early Thursday morning while confronting a suspected shoplifter outside a store in northwest Atlanta, police said.
Just The Facts: Police responded to the shooting at 1960 Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway NW around 12:09 a.m. The man, who suffered a gunshot wound, was taken to a hospital and is in stable condition.
Investigators said the victim approached the suspect, who was reportedly attempting to shoplift, when the confrontation turned violent.
The investigation is ongoing, and police have not released details about the suspect or whether any arrests have been made.
