MACON — A 16-year-old was shot and killed last night in Bibb County while walking in the parking lot of an apartment complex at about 7 p.m.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, 16-year-old Amerie Searcy, of Macon, was walking in the parking lot of Majestic Garden Apartments when an unknown subject began shooting.
Searcy was shot once during the incident and was pronounced dead on the scene by the Bibb County Coroner’s Office.
No one else was injured during the incident. There is no information on the suspect at this time.
