A 30-year-old Grovetown man was found dead in a parking lot on Washington Road Monday night after being stabbed at least once.

What It Means For You: Police are investigating a homicide at 3145 Washington Road. The suspect has not been caught yet.

What Happened: Officers arrived at the parking lot around 11:09 p.m. and found Martin Louis Gordon unresponsive. At first, police thought it was a traffic accident. But they discovered Gordon had been stabbed. He died at the scene and was pronounced dead at 11:35 p.m.

What We Don’t Know: Police have not said if they have any suspects. They have not said what led to the stabbing or if the public is in danger.
