A single-vehicle motorcycle accident has shut down all lanes of Main Street at Johnston Farm Lane in Woodstock, according to local police.

First responders are currently on the scene working to clear the roadway following the crash. The Woodstock Police Department issued an alert Monday night asking motorists to avoid the area completely.

“Please avoid the area and use alternate routes if possible,” the department stated in their traffic advisory. “We will provide updates as more information becomes available.”

Officials have not yet released details about potential injuries, the cause of the accident, or an estimated time for reopening the roadway.

The closure is likely to impact local traffic patterns, especially for commuters who regularly use Main Street. Residents should plan for delays and consider mapping alternative routes until the scene is cleared.

For those who must travel in the area, checking real-time traffic apps or the Woodstock Police Department’s social media channels may provide the most current information about road conditions and when normal traffic flow might resume.

As of 9:25 p.m., the southbound lanes were open.
