CALHOUN — Calhoun City Schools will be delayed by two hours Thursday, Feb. 13 due to the potential for damaging winds, possible tornadoes and flash flooding.

“Out of an abundance of caution and concerns for student and staff safety, Calhoun City Schools will operate on a two hour delay Thursday, February 13th. We encourage parents, staff and young drivers to exercise extreme caution on roadways,” said school system spokesperson Jennie Coker

Winds could down trees and power lines due to heavy ground saturation.

Students and staff should arrive two hours later than they would on a regular school day. Busses will operate on a two hour delay.
