The Details: Around 9:20 p.m. on Monday night, police say a man riding a bicycle near Clubhouse Drive was killed. A 23 year old from Dallas, was behind the wheel of a black Mazda that struck the cyclist. The cyclist, who remains unidentified by police, was traveling northwest in the right lane of Cobb Parkway when the car hit him from behind near the Park Forest subdivision.
The impact sent the cyclist onto the grass shoulder of the road, while the Mazda halted in the right turn lane leading to Park Forest Drive.
Medical authorities pronounced the bicyclist dead at the scene. The driver of the Mazda was not injured.
