HALL COUNTY — Hall County Elections staff, along with representatives from the Georgia Secretary of State’s Office, will be available at the Hall County Government Center next week to offer voters an opportunity to see Georgia’s new voting equipment in action.
Demonstrations of the new equipment will be held Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. in the HR Training Room on the second floor.
“It’s important for voters to have the option of seeing this new technology in advance of this year’s elections,” Hall County Elections Director Lori Wurtz said. “If we can provide them with some hands-on interaction with the new equipment, it will increase their level of comfort when they cast their ballot, leading to a smoother experience at the polls for everyone involved.”
Additional demonstrations can be scheduled with Hall County Elections staff during normal business hours by calling 770-531-6945.
In addition, a video demonstration of the new voting equipment is also available here and here.
The new voting equipment prints out paper ballots and includes touchscreens, printers, scanners, lockable ballot boxes and check-in poll pads.
The Hall County Government Center is located at 2875 Browns Bridge Road in Gainesville.
