National Signing Day 2023: Nyckoles Harbor, Rodrick Pleasant among top prospects to watch

Entering Wednesday’s late signing period only five of the nation’s top 200 prospects are uncommitted, according to 247Sports.

With the December early signing period becoming the main attraction, most of the nation’s top talents are locked in to their collegiate futures.

But a few top prospects remain.

Heres’s a look at the nation’s top uncommitted class of 2023 football prospects, as well as which programs have a shot to land them:

5-star athlete Nyckoles Harbor (Archbishop Carroll; Washington D.C.) — Announcing on ESPN2’s “College Football Live” during 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET

The lightning-fast 6-foot-5, 225-pound tight end/edge-rusher has NFL and Olympic sprint aspirations.

And for good reason.

The nation’s No. 1 athlete and No. 15 overall prospect recently clocked a national-leading 6.64 60-meter dash time on the track.

South Carolina and Oregon are thought to be the two primarily contenders down the stretch, and at this point it feels like a sprint to the finish – with the Ducks getting the final visit and the Gamecocks rumored to be the leaders prior to the trip.

Maryland, Miami and Michigan could also factor in late.

5-star tight end Duce Robinson (Pinnacle; Arizona) — Announcement unknown

The nation’s No. 1 tight end is also an elite baseball prospect, so there are many factors in his recruitment.

Both 247Sports and On3 project Georgia as a significant favorite, but USC and Texas are lurking.

According to On3’s Chad Simmons, however, Robinson does not intend to sign Wednesday.

4-star quarterback Jaden Rashada (Pittsburg; California) — Announcement unknown

Since being grated his release from Florida the nation’s No. 6 quarterback has taken visits to Arizona State and TCU.

He could sign with either program Wednesday or delay things a bit longer.

His recruitment, a rollercoaster ride in recent months, remains a bit of a mystery.

4-star cornerback Rodrick Pleasant (Gardena Serra; California) — Announcing on ESPN2’s “College Football Live” during 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET

Pleasant, the nation’s No. 8 cornerback, is also the California state record holder in the 100-meter dash.

Simply put, he’s electric.

The 5-foot-11, 180-pound cornerback is down to Boston College, California, Oregon, UCLA and USC.

However, the battle for Pleasant’s services is largely viewed as a content between the Ducks and Trojans – with the Bruins lurking.

4-star tight end Walker Lyons (Folsom; California) — Announcement unknown

The nation’s No. 5 tight end and No. 123 overall prospect is expected to take a two-year LDS mission before arriving on a college campus.

Lyons is believed to be strongly considering Georgia, Stanford and USC.

4-star offensive lineman Chimdy Onoh (Dundalk; Maryland) —The nation’s top unsigned offensive tackle has a top four of Michigan State, Ole Miss, Penn State and Rutgers.

He took a late visit to Ole Miss, but both 247Sports and On3project Penn State as the overwhelming favorite.

Class of 2024

5-star cornerback Ellis Robinson IV (IMG Academy; Florida) — Announcing on ESPN2’s “College Football Live” during 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET

The nation’s No. 8 overall prospect and No. 1 cornerback has a top five of Alabama, Colorado, Georgia, LSU and Miami and has spoken highly of all five finalists in recent weeks.

Still, his recruitment is believed to be a battle between Alabama and Georgia late – with the Bulldogs holding an edge.

4-star quarterback Austin Mack (Folsom; California) — Announcing at 1:45 p.m. PT on 247Sports’ YouTube channel

The 6-foot-6, 220-pound signal-caller is down to Cal, Oregon, Oregon State, Stanford and Washington.

But the nation’s No. 53 overall prospect and No. 7 quarterback set his commitment date fresh off a visit to Seattle and is believed to be leaning Huskies late.

SBLive Sports had predicted Mack will choose Washington.

4-star cornerback Jayden Lewis (Anniston; Alabama) — Announcement unknown

The nation’s No. 13 cornerback is set to announce his commitment sometime Wednesday – with Auburn emerging as the overwhelming favorite.

Lewis holds nearly 20 scholarship offers .
