DEMOREST — As of today, Tuesday, October 19, 2021, Lawrence Bridges has officially withdrawn from the Demorest City Council Race for the November 2, 2021 General Election.
Any votes cast for Bridges will not be counted and will not be listed on final election results.
This narrows the field in the council race to three candidates. In Demorest, voters will choose two candidates from what is now a three-person race.
Remaining in the council race are incumbents Jim Welborn and Shawn Allen, as well as Roy Andrew Ferguson.
