Today’s cool, dry weather will bring in a strong storm system tomorrow.
According to the National Weather Service, some storms could become severe on Saturday with damaging wind as the main threat. Rainfall will also be heavy, and parts of the state could see more than two inches of rain.
Storms are expected to push into the state Saturday morning and may re-form in the afternoon.
You can expect damaging wind gusts, heavy rainfall and isolated flooding. The weather service also says there is a possibility of a tornado and large hail.
North Georgia is at a marginal risk for severe weather while the metro Atlanta area and the rest of the state are at a slight risk, as categorized by the National Weather Service.
Local weather forecasts are showing a 100% chance of rain throughout the state.
