Tragedy struck yesterday in Forsyth County when an elderly couple died following a single-vehicle crash on Flowery Branch Road.
The incident, which occurred around 1:30 p.m., involved a white 2021 Cadillac XT4 that left the roadway, overturned, and came to rest atop an embankment.
The driver, Alice Jackson, 91, and her husband, Jimmy Jackson, also 91, were discovered dead at the scene. According to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office investigation, the vehicle, driven by Alice, started drifting off the road near Shadow Lane. After a probable overcorrection, the car left the road and turned over.
Despite the initial findings, the cause of the crash remains under investigation. Authorities urge anyone with information about the incident to step forward, in the hopes of bringing clarity to this heartbreaking event.
