72-Year-Old Georgia Woman Killed in Crash on Ga. 400

Start

A two-vehicle collision on Ga. 400 claimed the life of a 72-year-old Dawsonville woman on Sunday night.

Julie Waters Lamb was crossing the highway at the Jot ‘Em Down Road intersection at around 9:30 p.m. on September 8, when her 2014 Toyota Rav4 was struck by a 2019 Ford F-150 driven by a 30-year-old Dahlonega resident.

The Details: Lamb had the right of way as she crossed GA400, obeying a green light to continue west on Jot ‘Em Down Road. The driver in the Ford-F150, driving north on the highway, ran a red light at a speed too fast to stop, according to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office’s initial investigation.

Lamb was pronounced dead at the scene.
