Heavy rains are expected to cause flooding around areas near the Flint River Sunday as the river is expected to crest at 30.5 feet. Waters could enter yards and homes.
On Sunday around midnight, projections show a possibility of flooding in lower Lee County. The Flint River is expected to crest at 30.5 feet, the Muckalee Creek at 12.5 feet, and the Kinchafoonee Creek at 14.5 feet.
Areas of main concern include: Lovers Lane Road, Shrine Club Circle, Dogwood Lane, and Sapp Road.
The Kinchafoonee is expected to have minor effects such as the possibility of water crossing the road in the 400 block of Creekside Drive.
