VALDOSTA — A vacant home in south Georgia was destroyed by flames Thursday night.
The Valdosta Fire Department responded to the report of a structure fire at 828 W. Adair St. The call came in from dispatch at about 11:26 p.m.
The first fire unit arrived within five minutes to find a vacant house fully engulfed in flames. Fire crews were able to bring the fire under control before it spread to neighboring homes.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. A total of 16 firefighters responded to the scene. No injuries were reported.
