The Chatham County Sheriff’s Office addressed concerns about the absence of Sheriff John T. Wilcher after announcing over the weekend that Wilcher had been hospitalized.
While Chief Deputy Gary Taylor declined to comment on Wilcher’s condition, he said the Wilcher family would release a statement about the sheriff’s health shortly.
