The following is a statement from the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office regarding the health of Sheriff John T. Wilcher.
Dear CCSO Family and Community Members,
We would like to inform you that Sheriff John T. Wilcher is currently receiving medical care in the hospital and is in critical condition. We understand that this news may come as a surprise and that many of you may have questions or concerns.
We do not have further details to share at this time. We will provide updates as more information becomes available. In the meantime, we ask that you respect Sheriff Wilcher’s family’s privacy during this time.
