A fire broke out this weekend in a home on Lake Forest Way in Roswell, but firefighters contained the flames to the attic, leaving the rest of the house with minimal damage.
Residents were able to evacuate quickly, thanks to alert neighbors who noticed the smoke.
A Reminder: The Roswell Fire Department urges residents to ensure they have at least one working smoke alarm on every level of their home, including the attic and in each sleeping area. A working smoke alarm can mean the difference between life and death by providing those precious, lifesaving seconds.
What You Can Do: Check your smoke alarms today. Make sure they’re functional, with charged batteries, and replace any broken or missing alarms. Taking this small precaution can significantly improve your family’s safety.
