Update: Authorities have recently shed more light on the tragic events that unfolded in Snellville. The investigation has taken a turn as officials now classify the incident as a double murder and suicide.
The two homicide victims were husband and wife Corey Jones, 52, and Dana Farmer, 56, both from Snellville. The couple lived at the residence where law enforcement discovered the gruesome scene.
The suspected perpetrator of the crimes, Frank Wilburn Jr., 27, of Loganville, was also found dead. Emerging details suggest that Wilburn Jr. was involved in a relationship with the surviving victim, Rosella Jones, 29, also from Loganville.
Jones is currently undergoing treatment for her injuries sustained during the incident at a local hospital. Adding a twist to the case, the couple was scheduled for a court hearing later the same day of the shooting.
