STONE MOUNTAIN -- The Gwinnett County police Homicide Unit is investigating a homicide that occurred on Rockbridge Road.

STONE MOUNTAIN — The Gwinnett County police Homicide Unit is investigating a homicide that occurred on Rockbridge Road.

Police were dispatched to a single vehicle accident into a tree in a resident’s front yard. When officers were on scene, they discovered the driver was dead and had suffered a gunshot wound.

Police do not know where the shooting took place. 

The Crime Scene Unit is current processing the scene and Detectives are interviewing any possible witnesses. 

The victim has not yet been identified.
