Police: Double homicide suspect arrested while trying to flee to Mexico

A man who was wanted in the double homicide of a mother and her teenage son was arrested earlier this week after police say he attempted to cross the U.S.-Mexico border.

A man who was wanted in the double homicide of a mother and her teenage son was arrested earlier this week after police say he attempted to cross the U.S.-Mexico border.

William Jerome Adams was arrested in Texas earlier this week after attempting to enter Mexico, police say. He will be subject to extradition back to Georgia to face prosecution. 

The victims in this case have been identified as 39-year-old Mary Lindsay and her son, 16-year-old Atif Muhammad.

Last week, police responded to the double homicide at a home on Apple Grove Road in Flowery Branch. When officers arrived, they located the two victims who were both suffering from gunshot wounds.

According to police, Adams was in a relationship with Lindsay.
