The suspect in the shooting death of a 20-year-old woman two weeks ago was located and arrested in New Jersey Monday.
According to the Gwinnett County Police Department, Moses Dyl was arrested in Atlantic City, New Jersey. He is charged with Aggravated Assault and Felony Murder.
Dyl is accused of killing Shakeya Smith after a domestic argument.
Officers responded to an injured person in the roadway just after 5 a.m. Sept 12. When officers arrived they found Smith, who was already dead.
Detectives were able to view neighborhood security cameras that captured the shooting incident. The footage they observed led them to charge Dyl.
Prior to his arrest in New Jersey, Dyl had been seen in Lithonia shortly after the incident, according to police.
