BUFORD — Police in Gwinnett County are searching for a suspect in the shooting death of 20-year-old Shakeya Smith early Saturday morning.
Police say the homicide occurred on Roxwood Park Drive at Woodward Mill road that resulted in the death of one person.
At about 5:09 am officers responded to an injured person in the roadway. When officers arrived they located Smith, who was already dead.
Detectives were able to view neighborhood security cameras that captured the shooting incident. The footage they observed led them to charge Moses Dyl with one count of Felony Murder and one count of Aggravated Assault.
Dyl was last seen in Lithonia sometime after the incident. Police say Dyl is described as a black male, 5’11”, weighing approximately 200 lbs, with black hair and a black beard.
Dyl is to be considered armed and dangerous.
